MYND Theater

The project “MYndTheater – Promoting Mental Health in Youth through Forum Theater” addresses European priorities on youth mental health, inclusion, and quality youth work by empowering young people to critically reflect on the challenges of the digital environment through participatory theater methodologies. The project uses Forum Theater, experiential learning, and creative expression to strengthen young people’s psycho-emotional well-being, resilience, and life skills in response to digital risks such as online pressure, isolation, and harmful behaviors.

Objectives of the project:

  • Promoting mental health, emotional awareness, and well-being of young people through Forum Theater methodologies.

  • Strengthening young people’s life skills, critical thinking, and resilience in relation to the challenges of the digital environment.

  • Developing and enhancing youth workers’ competences in Forum Theater and participatory, creative educational methods.

  • Encouraging youth participation, inclusion, and active citizenship through artistic and experiential approaches.

  • Strengthening transnational cooperation and exchange of innovative practices in youth work and mental health promotion.

Results:

  • Research outputs, including desk research, qualitative research, and a collection of best practices on youth mental health and digital challenges.

  • Training and capacity-building programme for youth workers, including an e-learning course and a transnational training meeting.

  • Virtual Forum Theater Lab enabling international exchange, experimentation, and peer learning among youth workers.

  • Forum Theater guidelines and a practical handbook for youth workers and educators.

  • Local workshops and Forum Theater performances implemented with young people in participating countries.

  • Youth workers trained, supported, and empowered to apply Forum Theater methods in their daily practice.
