European Opportunities with AMICS.eu: Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps

At AMICS.eu, we believe that international experiences can transform young people’s lives. Through our participation in Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), we create opportunities for young people to travel, learn, volunteer and connect with others across Europe.

AMICS is an accredited Erasmus+ organisation, which allows us to implement a continuous programme of international mobility activities. Thanks to this accreditation, every year we organise between 3 and 6 Youth Exchanges, bringing together young people from different countries to learn through non-formal education, intercultural dialogue and creative activities. We also organise international training courses for youth workers, helping educators and youth leaders develop new tools to support participation, inclusion and community engagement.

In addition, AMICS coordinates around 10 long-term ESC volunteering projects, hosting international volunteers who contribute to social, cultural and educational initiatives in local communities. These volunteers collaborate with municipalities, youth centres and social organisations while gaining valuable personal and professional experience.

Many participants describe these projects as life-changing experiences.

For example, Luca from Italy, who volunteered in Puerto de Sagunto, explains how his ESC experience helped him step out of his comfort zone, improve his language skills and work with young people in a dynamic youth centre environment. You can read his story here:

Similarly, Zeynep from Turkey shares how volunteering in Spain allowed her to meet people from different cultures, create unforgettable memories and feel part of an international community even during the pandemic. Her testimonial is available here:

Another inspiring experience is that of Cesia, who carried out her volunteering project working with children and supporting educational activities, discovering new cultures while contributing to the local community. You can explore her story here:
